Hi everyone, hubby has GPA just affecting his sinuses. He’s picked up a cold this week and we are due to fly on holiday today but he’s soo blocked there’s just no way we can get on an aeroplane.
What are your top tips for clearing out your sinuses?? We’ve been up most of the night trying rinsing and massaging the face but it’s just all so blocked.
Please help!!!

I did use neilmed rinse however, my ENT consultant gave me a recipe for warm water and a quarter teaspoon each of salt, sugar and bicarb (he says it's cheaper than new sachets and he's right!). You can use it as often as you like.
I've had to have antibiotics though a couple of times when that blocked/colour of discharge changed. I didn't have a raised temperature; just the change in colour and that awful headache when you lean forward.
I also had nasule capsules for a month and they helped as I had bleeding then.
It sounds like your hubby needs something to break it up and for me steaming helps plus sudafed tablets.
So sorry you have to miss your holiday. Does your husband see an ENT doctor as well. As Marie 58 says neilmed. Is good when mine were bad I used it 2/3 times a day. I use salt and bicarb as recommended on the Nhs website. My ENT doctor prescribed flixonase which is a steroid to put up your nose. Maybe antibiotics are needed but he also needs to get it checked out as he may need a sinus wash out. Good luck.
