I discovered this on the Lupus UK HU page. Not sure whether it's a recent update or has been there for some time but it seems to indicate that GPs should be being trained to better manage patients like ourselves with complex Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Connective Tissue Diseases (CTD).
This first link shows how they should manage people with MSK conditions :
rcgp.org.uk/training-exams/...
The second shows the knowledge and skills they should have :
rcgp.org.uk/training-exams/...
I think the sections in this on "Clinical Management" and "Managing Medical Complexity" are particularly pertinent. The latter also has a link to recomended web resources.
rcgp.org.uk/training-exams/...
This has links to charity and support organisations such as Arthritis Research, Lupus UK and PMR-GCA. But not Vasculitis UK.
Could anyone from VUK comment on this please and perhaps get in touch with the RCGP to get a link to VUK added ?
