Emg to help diagnose cerebral vasculitis?

I have peripheral nerve tingling in arms and legs.. Will an emg tell if it's cerebral vasculitis? It's been 5 years and trying to get a diagnosis.. I have had many chronic symptoms that move around, but this one never goes away. Thank you for any help. Judy

I am in New Jersey. I have secondary to arthritis they think. I am scheduled for an Emg. I hope it can show something. Thank you for replying. Judy

Hi I have cerebral vasculitis and the emg helped with my diagnosis .I also had a MRI scan that established what it was finally . It's not easy to diagnose I hope you get an answer soon ! Kind regards Diane

Hi Diane. I had an MRI already that showed lesions but doctor now wants emg. They thought ms. I know that I don't have that. The tingling is constant. I hope that it helps show something. Was the emg horrible? I'm a little nervous. Judy

Hi Judy please let me reassure you it's very easy no pain at all, I was very nervous too so I understand. It was a very accurate test and as well as confirming suspected cerebral vasculits It found Carpul tunnel in both hands. I have had the operation for both my hands which is great as I work in an office and also do reflexology so need my hands working
