Don't forget to order your repeat prescriptions to cover you for the holiday period.

I was good and ordered 100 days worth of steroids at end of November using the surgery on-line system. Went to pick them up a couple of days later and was told that no prescription existed. Phoned the surgery and they had forgotten to send it over. They said they would send it by fax, do people really still use faxes when the information was on computer? Went to pick it up and the till at the chemist had broken down, waited an hour along with a mass of other people while there were long telephone calls to the techie help line. I met people I had not seen for years on the other hand. On getting home and checking the pack I discovered that the sell by date was next month. Pharmacist said bring them back and they would be replaced, she gave me a few tablets to get on with. A couple of days later went to pick them up and the pharmacist had forgotten to contact the wholesaler. Went back yesterday and was told that the wholesaler had said that they did not have any newer tablets. Panic I run out tomorrow. Phoned today and they have found another pharmacy with "younger tablets" but it is in Warrington, I live in the South of England. Apparently the wholesaler can pick the tablets up from Warrington but must take them to the hub at Ruislip.

This is why you need to re order early for Christmas!!
