Hi SandieB,

The best person to ask would be your pharmacist as they have a list of all your medications and know what tabs can't be taken at the same time.

You can phone and speak to them if that's easier.

yes, I would agree with Keyes your pharmacist is the best person to talk to :-)

I'm currently taking 3 tablets of Ferrous Fumarate (210mg) a day. If you search for the Patients In formation Leaflet here ... medicines.org.uk/emc/medici...

It says .."Ferrous Fumarate Tablets may be taken with meals. This may help to relieve any stomach-related side effects. However, it is advisable not to take your medicine with tea, eggs or milk as this may reduce the effect of the tablets. Ferrous Fumarate Tablets should be taken with a glass of water."

That is what I do .. 1 before breakfast, 1 before lunch and 1 before evening meal. And I take all my other tablets at the same time with no apparent problems. The PIL has a section on .."Taking other medicines:"

You need to take these for at least 3 months and the blood test result of Red Blood Count (RBC) and in particular the level of Ferritin is the guide for when to stop.

Hope this helps....

Please make sure you get your iron level checked regularly as I didn't and when I finely did after taking iron for 3 years my level was in the danger zone.
