I am desperate for information on what this all means and what to expect.
My BP was up last week and again this so have to have a 24 hour BP done, My GP wants to sign me off work but am not keen on this.

Whatever sort of vasculitis you have, rest is a large part of the recovery. As PMRpro says, your health is the most important and you may find that taking time off now enables you to function better when you do get back to work. All the most experienced people on this site keep saying 'Listen to your body' and learn when you can carry on and when you have to stop. Good luck, I hope you get a secure diagnosis soon.
If you look on the Vasculitis UK website - vasculitis.org.uk - under About Vasculitis/Effects of Vasculitis then you will find a section on Vasculitis and the Eye.
A lot depends on what other symptoms you have and what is causing the raised blood pressure. If you want to discuss, send me a private message or an email john.mills@vasculitis.org.uk
Hi
I have anterior and posterior uveitis a retinal vein occlusion and vasculitus in both eyes. I am on prednisolone and cellcept (which I started 3 weeks a go) at the moment they think the BP maybe due to meds but will have to wait and see.
I saw my consultant at Sunderland eye infirmary three weeks ago when he started me on the immunosuppresent.
I have had an echocardiogram no results yet
Mr Bell has mentioned sarcoidosis in the past and today I reieved a letter from the chest clinic to say he had written to the consultant there and they want to arrange an MRI.
Aside from the eyes I have a persistent cough, get breathless, have a rsah on my shoulders and back and fell overwhelming tiredness.
I have decided to take the advice of the doctor and have been signed of work for two weeks.
Hi
I have a similar condition myself.
Are you also under Rheumatologist for your vasculitis if you don't mind me asking this? Or a Specialist in Vasculitis in Cambridge etc?
It's brilliant that your eye hospital spotted uveitis. That is really brilliant. (Probably, not my eye hospital) I too, have retinal vein occlusion.
Sounds like you are in excellent hands.
