Hi Everyone,

As announced at the AGM, we have arranged to partner Jane Tomlinson's on their Yorkshire Dales Walking Festival. We’ll be looking for fundraisers and volunteers to join us on Sunday the 18th of August for a great day out in the Dales and hopefully to help raise some awareness and money for Vasculitis UK.

The Dales Walking Festival promises to be even bigger and better than the Lakes one and takes place around Settle in the Yorkshire Dales. There will be three walks for walkers of different abilities :

- A short 5 mile walk through the heart of Attermire Scar

- An intermediate 14 mile walk through Malhamdale with a climb up Malham Cove

- A long 28 mile challenge taking in Ingleborough and climbing Pen-y-Ghent

I recently attended Jane Tomlinson’s Peak District walking festival and so I can assure you that these are really special events not to be missed. Over a thousand people are expected to take part in the Dales festival which generates quite a lot of publicity in the North of England. This makes it a great opportunity for us to raise both funds and awareness for Vasculitis and Vasculitis UK. So with your help we’re hoping to make it a really memorable day.

Once again, we're really sorry that we had to cancel the Lakes walking event but we hope that those who expressed an interest will be able to join us in the Dales in August instead.

If you’d like to take part and raise funds or even just volunteer to help please contact me, Richard Eastoe (richard.eastoe@vasculitis.org.uk) for further details.
