HI my name is Shannon and I Im new here. I am hoping I can find a better understanding to this disease and beat it! There is no one in my family with kidney issues and to be honest I never thought I would be on this side of ESRD. I am hoping I am not alone.

Hi Shannon

This group is about clinical trials so may not be what you are looking for if you want disease info. I'm in the liver disease group but a lot of advice that applies to us may apply to you as well.

if you do a search in HealthUnlocked for kidney disease you will see a lot of alternatives.

thank you so much Wayne. I am 43 years old with NO other Health issues prior to this kidney disease. I have NO living donors that meet the criteria and i am desperate. I am desperate and to be honest tired of Hemo Dialysis. I have more days i feel bad than good.

I am willing to try anything

Hi Shannon

That is a hard place to be. A lot of people with liver disease hoping for a transplant and difficult to get. Are you listed for a transplant somewhere? We don't know a lot about the kidney situation other than it is not an easy road. The kidney forums know a lot more about it but if you are looking for a clinical trial here is a link to the service we support for doing a search

Hi Shannon,

As others have suggested, you may want to check out the Health Unlocked groups that focus on Kidneys, and the are several- use this link to find 12 groups:

healthunlocked.com/search/c...

-

Including 6 that are supported by the National Kidney Foundation and some that focus on dialysis and others that focus on transplant.

-

healthunlocked.com/nkf-dial...

-

healthunlocked.com/nkf-kidn...

-

healthunlocked.com/nkf-ckd

-

And I suggest you either delete your original posting to this clinical trials group or lock your post since you used a personally identifiable picture and may be using your actual first name and last name in your posting.

-

We recommend that you lock / restrict this entire discussion to prevent it from being found on Google or other web search engines.

-

Please go to the top of this page- to your original post. At the bottom are 2 boxes one is blue and has white letters "Reply" then a grey box "Like" then the word “More” and a "v"

Click the v and from the drop down menu pick "Edit"

-

Then go down to “Who can see my post?”. The default is “Everyone”, which means it can be found by web searches. To restrict it to this community, you need to click “Only followers in my community”. If you do that, it will be a “locked” post, and a little padlock will appear under the title, to show people that it’s “locked”. (All replies to a post are controlled by the privacy setting of the original one, so some members are reluctant to reply to an unlocked post.)

-

Then click the bottom blue box "Post"
