Legit in what way?
There are 2 sources I believe to be legitimate:
for the USA; clinicaltrials.gov/
and for Europe: clinicaltrialsregister.eu/c...
if you can't find the trial listed, I would dig deeper to determine why.
The NIH has a good explanation of how to use the US clinicaltrials.gov site

Hi Carmie is there a particular study you are referring to or are you still in the process of searching for trials?
All clinical trials must be registered on clinical trials.com, in the US-so check if the study if on that and it will let you know it is legit. Alternatively you can ask your doctor or local ethics service to help you
CISCRP offers help to find clinical trials so suppose they could help too?
Certainly share the links or other information you have so that people understand the difference between a legit clinical trial and anything else. If it's being offered as a trial, like stated above, it'll. Be registered at clinicaltrials.gov. There are other sites that sit on top of the information from clinicaltrials.gov so what you may be experiencing is an interface into that database.
