hi guys, ive had tinnitus since i had my first bowel surgery in 1996 ( large bowel was removed due to ulcerative colitis) yet every time i mention it to the GP, they seem to ignore it. Doing my research over the years i think it was caused by the anesthetic.

Well that i can believe..... I got my horrid noise 15 years ago after taking a flu remedy .... five weeks ago now i had a prostate Holep opp , since then my T has doubled in intensity and its rattling my head off , very distressing , im sure it was caused by the anaesthetic or the antibiotics i was given but what can you do.........

I believe there is a gut brain connection going on with that. Having surgery and being cut on you probably lost many microbes. Some of the anesthetic medication can cause that also. My bet is on gut flora. I have been under anesthetics before so it's hard to tell. When are guts are inflamed we will have all kinds of issues, mental, physical, emotional I could go on but to figure out what caused it will only make you more stressed. Focus on calming your nervous system and taking a good methylated B12 supplement. You could also try the Dynamic Neural Retraining system by Annie Hopper to see if that could help. I to have very loud Tinnitus in my whole head and it is rough some days.
