I do, I would find it difficult to get to sleep without it, it provides a distraction from the T. I know that opinion is split on this, not least because of the danger of infection, I just use antibac lens wipes (99p for a box of 50). to clean the buds each night before I put them in my ears and even though I've had a few blasting ear infections in childhood and early adulthood, I've never had a ear infection since starting to use the ear buds a few years ago.

I use Bose Sleepbuds 2 and they are great. I sleep with them all night and have done for around 9 months. I’m not sure if I could sleep without them now.

They are expensive, but I think they are worth it. They are small and comfy enough to sleep on your side with.

You can’t stream music through them, so you have to use the set of sound that come with the app, but that is fine for me.

I initially tried Kokoon, which looked great but started to hurt my ears after a few days whereas the Bose ones have never hurt.

I use a pair of JBL UA Flex 4 with an app called Bettersleep. The buds are small enough to allow me to lay on my side and battery life is fine. I tried the Bose and they wouldn't play loud enough to mask my T.

I feel fortunate that I've now got blue tooth hearing aids and I usually wear those at night. They link to any sounds I play on my iphone. I don't know why ear buds don't use the same tech (behind the ear battery and mic. into the ear, for those who don't have hearing aids). And yes, I rest my ears whenever I can during the day (only moderate hearing loss though) and I'm careful with hygiene.

How much is that

Privately - a lot. Via the NHS- free, but a long wait and the agreement of audiology/ENT needed.
