hello again Sun.

Would it be a good idea to go back to the website of the British Tinnitus association again? There really is lots of help there.

Bear in mind that, yes, there is no cure but there are ways you can help yourself.

Hi Sun

I'm going to agree with Rosie - we have a lot of good advice on our website about living with tinnitus and about techniques to help you cope with it.

Breathing exercises are good for reducing any panic that we feel. Progressive relaxation exercises are also something to consider - by focusing on relaxing one part of our body at a time, we're taking attention away from tinnitus, and placing it on an activity which can release a lot of stresses and physical tension.

You will get days like this - when tinnitus feels overwhelming, upsetting and a struggle. I suspect most folks here have more than a few of those. The important thing to remember is that just as you get these days, you also get days when tinnitus isn't as loud, when it isn't stopping you from doing what you want to. You'll get days when it's just in the background and not really that distracting at all.

Typing this paragraph, I can also hear a mildly irritating high-pitched sound in the background. It remains when I take off my headphones (the joys of working from home 😆), but as soon as I go to make a cup of tea, let my dogs out into the back garden or do something different, I stop noticing it as much. It doesn't really give me anything to notice it, so I tend to view it as something which doesn't deserve much of my energy.

Hello sun_1234. I had loud T all the time, with crazy spikes! Until I took this: 1.- Passinflower plant in the morning and at night before sleep with l-theanine (supplement or three green tea Matcha per day), but you don,t have to take medicine for sleep!

2.- Magnesium L-Threonate (only this Magnesium works well with T.) five hours before sleep.

3.- GABA at midday with Gingko Biloba.

I'm sure the T. will change for the better!!
