Has anyone tried this. Please go to the website flare audio and click on hearing and then click on the product calmer. The reviews on helping tinnitus look so encouraging.

Hmm interesting. A few thoughts

1. All the review shown are from within a few days or hours. How can people who buy these actually see whether they work or not so quickly?

2. I’m never going to spend money on a miracle until it’s been endorsed by a reputable source.

If you’re keen, you might want to ask the opinion of the British T Association.

Hi Hannah. We're in the process of reviewing these devices at the moment - I'm wearing a pair as I type this, in fact!

It might take a while, as Rosie suggests, for people to be able to give a good picture of how well they work. It's possible that the reviews online are a mix of people who've bought the product and are wildly enthusiastic about it and people who may have been able to Beta test for Flare.

Flare are a reputable company - I think it may be the case that the device works well for some people and may be less effective if you have an issue wearing conventional earplugs, for example.

I do notice a difference between wearing the Calmer inserts and hearing sound in my environment based on an initial assessment. I'm not sure how I would quantify that difference, though.

Hi. I discussed this very topic on another thread on Monday. I bought a pair simply out of curiosity and much like BTAPat above, I noticed some sort of difference to the overall aural experience but at the moment it's too early to say what that is exactly or if it specifically helps to reduce my tinnitus.

I'll be following this closely as well as Flare's own reserach, which of course will be primarily based on them selling more products, but all the same, I'm glad there is a company taking audio seriously and are willing to investigate time and effort into knowing how effective their ear plugs are.

I have had a pair in my ears on and off for the last couple of days and although I did notice a difference in audio perception I haven’t noticed a decrease in my tinnitus. If any the ringing may have increased a bit.

Hi, I have had a pair of these for a few weeks now. I haven’t noticed any improvement with them as far as my tinnitus goes but, like others, I would say i do notice a slight difference to other sounds but nothing startling.
