Finally some good news!!

High all,

I spent the last two hours reading a lot of your stories, which left me in disbelief. Seven years ago, I decided to major in kinesiology. I made this decision because I had incredibly similar problems that a lot of you are going through. Seeing countless specialists and getting all different opinions is taxing. I will keep the rest short and let you know what I did to get back to being me. Here are some things to look into. If any of these catch your eye, feel free to ask away.

1. Posture assessment.. ( lower and upper cross syndrome) chronic tight muscles go unnoticed for years and can cause injuries like TOS and TMJ. Which believe it or not go hand in hand.

2. Diaghpham breathing vs. Belly Breathing

3. Major dental work ( wisdom teeth, root canal)

4. Thoracic and cervical spine mobility.

All of these play a major role inner ear issues. There’s a cause and effect to long term neck tension. If one muscle is tight, there’s most likely a chain of muscle tightness happening.

Hi, Interesting, I have always suspected that my (24/7 hissing) tinnitus may be coming from a problem in my cervical spine?

Absolutely. When muscles that are connected with cervical spine become restricted and tight; they can compress the Nerve’s running cervical spine to base of skull.. diaphragm breathing rather than belly breathing can also be a cause

I suspect if I spent less time on the computer etc my tinnitus would improve if not disappear.

They go hand and hand for me. Take two weeks off of using a computer. Or perhaps stand when using it. Found sitting on a big blue workout ball helps tremendously as well

Using my home computer always makes my T worse . So I try not to be on it too long .

Thoracic outlet syndrome is when the space between your collarbone and your first rib narrows. TMJ disorders may cause thoracic outlet syndrome Experts theorize that this is due to the tightening of the neck muscles, such as the scalenus anterior and the scalenus medius. Hope this helps
