Ear infection

Had tinnitus for few years coped ok

Now had ear infection and tinnitus is of chart on antibiotics still no change still hissing need help cant cope

Ask for drops not antibiotics. When I went through the same thing with an ear infection I was given anti booties and my ent doctor said that I should’ve requested drops not antibiotics. There isn’t anything wrong with antibiotics but apparently in some cases drops work quicker.

Nearly finished antibiotics still screaming hiss in ear

That’s what mine was like. It’s the inflammation in the ear apparently. The ENT said it was normal for it to react like that. Hopefully it’ll go back to an easier level once all this is done. I sleep oddly. I sort of stay awake until I can’t keep my eyes open and then go to sleep. It’s the only way I can sleep.

Have a look on UTube and search for Tinnitus help, it will load some help on the noise we hear, listening to it does help me..try it!

From experience I can tell you that your tinnitus should go back to the level you were coping with once the infection clears up. Antibiotics sometimes don`t work until you`ve finished the course.

Hi just wondering if it is a middle ear infection or outer ear you have .mine is outer ear and although it’s cleared up with drops tinnitus seems louder

Hi mines was middle ear and t back to normal level

Get ear checked again it will go back to normal
