Ive had chronic tinnitus for 3 yrs. Being diagnosed with vestibular migraine and hypothyroid and aneamia. Tried to fix all 3 and manage over the last 3 yrs amd do very meticulously . Last night it just went so high pitch and extreme pressure and fullness. Any noise made it worse like banging on a triangle. That subsided but the pressure and high ringing is still there. Left ear only. What do i do? Worried . I had a hearing test in aug all ok.

Hi Contra-firstly try not to panic. T feeds off anxiety and panic so if you can spend the next few hours/days just doing what you can to relax. I can totally relate to the pressure/fullness feeling too. I have T and fullness on one side only (my left ear, I’m totally deaf on my right side).
I’ve also suffered for 3 years (since my sone was 12 weeks old) and have strangely just been diagnosed with migraine but not vestibular...BUT I kinda thought maybe the migraine and T/fullness we’re related?!
Do you have any other symptoms? Aura/headache/ sensitivity/nausea/dizziness etc??
Hi Contra, I hope you are now doing a little better. I have suffered from frequent chronic migraine with aura for about 10 years and acquired tinnitus about 3 years ago due to sound exposure. I notice that when I have bad migraine days i often have similar symptoms to what you are experiencing, temporary deafness, loud ringing, fullness and sensitivity. This may last for just a few seconds to the next day. For me i now attribute this to migraine as a form of aura. In addition to this i suffer with hyperacusis and I find this is always worse if I'm having a bad headache day.
I know I haven't given much constructive advice but sometimes it helps to know you aren't the only one suffering from these sorts of symptoms.
