Yes I have and I've had no ill effects.

Yes, one sided tinnitus and hearing loss. MRI was to rule out any sort of tumour, thankfully results were negative. Eventually diagnosed with meniere's disease.

Hi , thanks for both replying.

Did you have contrast dye with your MRI ?

Yes, small acustic neuroma, which was one possibility are difficult to detect without contrast.

In my case I had a normal MRI scan shortly after the onset of my T 6 years ago. Then the next day I got a phone call saying I needed to go and have another one with contrast. Must admit I was worried sick as it seemed obvious they had found something and just wanted to confirm their findings. I was imagining a huge brain tumour but it turned out to be a small acoustic neuroma (about 4mm dia). I now have annual MRI scans to keep an eye on the little bugger and thankfully it hasn't changed much in size over the 6 years. I was told if it gets to about 10mm then maybe think about getting it sorted. My T is just as loud now as it was then but it really doesn't bother me too much these days and for the most part I don't even notice it.
