Hi. Yes I do. It's what I call 'eye socket pain', together with dry, prickly and stringy eyes. I get it on and off but I don't think I am optimally medicated at present. My eyes often go red and blood-shot as well.

Me too, before I was diagnosed I used to feel like someone had punched me in the face, my eyes used to hurt right into the sockets. I have really dry eyes (always have had) and I use stuff called Hycosan the eye drops are additive free. I bought mine over the counter from an opticians shop. It isn't cheap but for me it is worth it. I think there is a prescription version too with a slightly different name. I've also used Gel Tears that's quite good too, I find it works best if I put whatever I am using in very frequently throughout the day to begin with then just a few times throughout the day. But my eyes didn't half ache. I've got Graves though and I get double /blurred vision if I read for too long (probably TED - will speak to my endo this week )even if I look up from my book regularly. I now use a Kindle with the print on a large size, that has helped. I also wring a face cloth out in hot water and press that to my eyes, that helps too. Don't think my meds are sorted yet either.

when my lady suffered this problem our gp [ in my opinion ---brilliant ] told us that although he was not an endo specialist he had discovered - after his own research - that some thyroid medications can affect the muscle at the rear of the eyes and he then prescribed 'carbomer eye gel ' -----this takes a few days to really 'kick in ' but has helped my lady enormously .....hope that this helps

Yes me too, they hurt, I often put my hands on mug of tea to warm then place my palms on my eyelids, the warmth often helps. I have dry gritty eyes and drops. Lately my one eye has been running like a tap ahh well don't know what that's about.

i had it in one eye only too watered constantly especially if out in the wind

my optician thought it was a blocked tear duct but endo said its to do with the thyroid

im hyper and have been since feb 2012

eyes sometimes feel hot too

the watering eye stopped/lessened once my meds kicked in and levels dropped

hope you improve soon
