Hi Miffi and welcome (sorry you are here 'tho)

It varies, some people feel some improvement straight away and are probably not on this forum - have you a date for your next GP visit? don't forget to get hold of your blood results, so you can monitor dosage and how you feel, I'm sure you already know about minerals & vitamins which can help too. Folks usually have another blood test in 6 weeks or so - more info on the main TUK site here....

best wishes, Jane :D

Hello Jane, my next visit to the gp is next Tuesday, and i will ask her for my blood results so i can keep a diary, yes she did say the blood test would be repeated in six weeks, she did ask if i wanted to be prescribed amyltripaline for the headaches and i declined, and said i would see how the thyroxine went, didnt want more of a foggy head than i already have :) thank you for your advise :)

Miffy, keep in mind that all your body tissue has been deprived of thyroid. This happens before you probably even notice that it's happening. Now you are replacing T4 into your blood stream and it will slowly work its way back into the cells, hopefully. This can't happen overnight but maybe you will notice improvement soon.

Thank you Heloise, yes you are right, and i hope so, i have been on Levo a week tomorrow, i have headaches and a foggy head still, but the triedness is not all the time just some of the day now.

Great! As long as you see some improvement, I think it is a very good sign.
