yesterday was officially the worst day in months. I finished work at 4 after feeling really light headed and dizzy for most of the afternoon, got to my car and took 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get into it!! Got very upset and anxious and tearful because I have had the car for 2 years ane get in everyday!
I made it home but can't remember much of thru journey and collapsed into bed. Fell asleep from 4:30pm to 8:30pm then wide awake but exhausted until 1am when I finally fell back to sleep until 4:45am but then awake till 6am and managed to get another 2 hours sleep.
This morning I feel like I've been hit by a truck and to top it all off I now have a yellow tinge to my skin around my eyes and it looks like I'm wearing yellow eyeshadow!!
This is not a good weekend :0(

Need to see doctor as sounds like jaundice, therefore liver problem. I had similar symptons before my liver went down a few years ago, became very yellow and spent two weeks in hospital. Mine was due to reaction to penicillin which I had six weeks before.
I called my doctor this morning and was told very bluntly that if it can't wait till next week go to A&E! Charming I thought. I don't want to bother the hospital with this but I'm not sure how long to leave it. Feeling awful and very stiff muscles now too. The compassion of some people astound me!
Or perhaps it could be your adrenal glands - I think one of the symptoms of adrenal insufficiency is a tanned appearance to skin. I do think you need to see a doctor just to be in the safe side xxx
Well, my slight yellow tinge and fogginess became worse, so rang NS Direct and they told me to take myself to Hospital right away. Went to A&E and the triage nurse took one look at me and immediately took some blood and told me t wait for results. I was admitted four hrs later and was told I should have seen GP earlier!
I might have to keep an eye on how things are today and get myself off to the hospital if it gets worse. How did they get rid of the yellowness? If you don't mind me asking...
I was on a drip for about four days and had to drink pints and pints of water to flush system out! I was given some powders that were mixed with water or fruit juice and that reduced the bile in blood(and cholesterol). Normally it takes five days for liver to regenerate but mine took ten days and I was in danger of being referred to another hospital for transplant. I became the colour of saffron yellow and even with the treatment t took eight weeks for yellow to disappear! It was not a pleasant time. Hopefully if you get checked quickly you will not have the same problems that is why I said see GP or hospital soon.
Are your conjunctivas yellow? (That is, the whites of your eyes.)
If so, then jaundice and do not delay seeking medical help. I suggest you do not drive yourself.
If not, possibly hypercarotenaemia. That occurs if you are consuming foods which contain carotene (obviously carrots, but many others contain quite a bit as well), but that is not being handled by your system. This is moderately common in hypothyroidism but should still see you in front of a qualified medical practitioner sooner rather than later. If that is happening, you might also be suffering from low vitamin A. (Do not go off and take vitamin A. Proper advice is required.)
I checked with my boyfriend and my mum and both say that I just look very pale and that although there is a slight tinge to the inside of my eyes they say its not as bad as I think it is. I will still get it checked but will wait till my GP can see me on Monday rather than bothering the hospital with my paranoia
Hi It may be hepatitis ( autoimmune) ,often near impossible to diagnose without the correct tests. No treatment any way. When worse, vomiting and diarrhea ( which I cannot spell, dyslexic!)It gets to the stage that you just cannot eat. I had it 9 months, seeing my gastro weekly, sacked him! It took my new cardio to diagnose it ,as soon as he saw me!Very yellow all through.
If you think it is that then ask to see a Hepatologist, large hospital not a gastro, much better.
