Hi! I used to have the same when I was over active, you should see a doctor about it and ask if it's normal though!? best wishes

There's a test if you put a piece of paper on your hands or have a look at this exam, around 30 seconds in - It says hyper but I'm not so sure as I'm hypo & shake too (but unmedicated).

Hi

Can be a symptom of adrenal issues or over medication. What were your last blood results? Have you ever had adrenals tested? Mine tremble too and I'm in the process of finding out what is causing it. It is a bit of a minefield! Good luck

Have you recently had a change in meds ? I shook all over for a while every time my meds were increased. Now I'm fine.

Hi all went from 50mg to 75mg thyroxine 5 weeks ago got to have bloods done again next monday. Waiting for test results on GH intolerence test spoke to hosp last week they cant understand why their not back yet getting a bit worried now had them done on feb 8th. Never had adrenals tested think endo is exhausting other things first havent got another appointment with him till july think going to need to see him before that i suppose it depends on outcome of tests xx

Hi It can also be high calcium. If taking vit D are you taking it with 3 monthly blood tests? It does cause the calcium to go up and this is an electrolyte and must always be in range ,If too high D must always be stopped regardless. Ask for a calcium test anyway to be sure, it is a separate test and the one that matters is corrected calcium, as often 2 given.

Best wishes,

jackie

Did this just start with your increase in medication or is it longer standing? If it's built up over a time, it could be B12 deficiency. My shakes (plus balance and clumsiness issues) resolved after high doses of sublingual B12.

Aah! have been taking 2500 of pro d vit D for ages no one told me i had to be tested good job i joined this site. Obviously my docter cant be bothered otherwise he would be keeping his eye on me. Was thinking last night that i was shaking before higher dose could be B12 my mum has to have B12 injections. Had B12 checked ages ago was ok. Now you mention it i do have trouble with balance but have been told it is my ears back to the docters it is then or speak to Endo Thankyou all for help xx

I am currently under investigation for tremors. I am hypothyroid, on 100mg of Levoythyroxine and I am also adrenal insufficient on Hydrocortisone 10mg twice a day. I developed the tremor before being diagnosed with Hypo but it was less apparent. It is now extremely visible. I have had various blood tests and I am on the right level of Thyroxine (at the moment). I have had various MRI scans, but nothing discovered to date. The Neurologist said that I could just have an essential tremor? My hands get very hot and the tremor sometimes goes up my arms. In the mornings, upon waking it seems to go into my face.

I am learning to live with this.

I do hope that you find the cause, it is not a nice feeling.
