Has anybody have experience of taking Isocort? It is plant based alternative to glandular extract for supporting adrenal function?

Yes I have taken it. Didn't get on with Nutri Adrenal at all, ended up with strange side effects. I think Isocort has done the trick for me so no longer take it.

So, cinnamon_girl, did you use the old version or the new one? Curious as to how plant-based cortisol would work...

grey - this was used in the second half of last year so presumably the new version. Got through one tub and part-way through a second. No side effects from it either. We're all different though!

Sure, we're all different, but that is interesting - good news for veggies! Thank you.

Isocort isn't plant based, its main ingredient is bovine adrenal cortex.

It does have some herbs in it, among them echinacea, which some people say Hashi's sufferers shouldn't take. And some say they should... who knows!

It has changed!

IsoCort has changed! As of early 2011, Bezwecken changed the product from a bovine adrenal cortex to a fermented plant-derived cortisol, joining over 100 other chemical substances which are plant derived. It also appears to be made from Yam.

Thank you Rod. I know they changed the formula. However if its derived from wild yam ( estrogenic properties) and contain lactose then I won't be able to use it.

Thank you for help xx

Thank you Greygoose. It is plant based now that's why I was thinking about it as to alternative to glandular extract

Isocort IS plant-based. I tried it for a while but it did nothing for me. I think I could have eaten a whole tub without noticing. So i gave it to a friend who definitely feels better on it. Horses for courses.

If you want to try it, you can get it from iherb.com. This code ZAK826 will get you a slightly reduced price on your first order
