Does anyone know of a good Endo either NHS or P... - Thyroid UK
Does anyone know of a good Endo either NHS or Private in the Newmarket, Suffolk area.
Hi Vanessa, a good question! I live quite close to Newmarket so in roughly the same catchment area as you. From your previous posts I see you're taking Armour & feeling very well which is brilliant but not so good if you're looking for an Endo around here to prescribe it.
Endocrinology at Addenbrookes definately won't (although they are T3 friendly) & while Im not familiar with the W Suffolk hospital I imagine they will be much the same.
Although I eventually got a dx/treatment from a Prof at Addenbrookes to be completely well I've had to go outside the NHS & see Dr Skinner in Birmingham who prescribes me a combo of NDT/T4.
PP - please can you email me details of the T3 friendly one and who actually diagnosed you. I am compiling a list of 'good' NHS Endos - thanks!

Thanks Powderpuff for your reply, I have tried w. suffolk and it was hopeless. And as you have tried Addenbrookes, well I don't know what to do as my doctor will refer me privately which will cost about £200 but I don't want to spend this then to be told that they won't give me Armour on Prescription.
