Anyone experience an itchy neck?

My neck often itches down the centre at the front and around the sides. Wondered if it was linked to thyroid?

Yes - me. Funnily, just as I read this question I was scratching my neck and it itches just where you said. Sometimes it turns quite red (not through scratching though) I have Hashimoto's and have asked the doctor about it who doesn't really have a clue as to whether it is connected. I think it is. I have some cream she gave me to use when I had shingles and use this on it. I originally thought it was where I had been out in the sun but, obviously not now! I have had this for about two years now.

Makes one feel so confident when drs look blank at u :-/ . I haven't asked my dr about it but wonder if it is linked to my hypothyroidism. Thanks for your response and hope the itching doesn't drive you mad. :-)

i have had an itchy neck on and off in the place you describe, i was originally told it was contact excema, but i never have contact with excema now so i wonder if it is related to my underactive thyroid too. i sometimes wake up during the night scrathing at it, and need to put some e45 or moisturiser cream on to stop it!

Have had this since I had Graves in 1997 and still get it while under now.

Very interesting. I've been feeling rather thyroidy since the new year. Must be linked. Thanks for response. :-)

I'm also experiencing swallowing difficulties. Feels like I have something stuck in my throat after eating.

Not an itchy neck but a dark ring around the neck is implicated in diabetes.
