Is it true that bad breath can be linked to thyroid problems?

I'm sure I saw that on a list of symptoms somewhere... but can't remember where.

It wouldn't be suprising, would it. Most thinks can be linked directly or indirectly to the thyroid. Indirectly it could be caused by the bad digestion so many of us have. Or the bad teeth that can happen with long-term untreated hypo.

But then again, it can be caused by so many other things, dry mouth, catarrh (but that can be linked to thyroid, too). I've even heard that apendicitis caused someone's breath to be bad.

I'm afraid I can't be of anymore help than that. I tried googling it, but didn't get much joy.

I'm got thyroid cancer and removed yr 2000 after remover about three mouth i got bad beath and go to dentist he let me know because from thyroid problem
