ENDOCRINOLOGIST APPOINTMENT FOR MY SON.

At last the long-awaited and tense appointment has been kept. Today we (my special needs son and I) saw a new Endocrinologist and he had such a nice manner. All was good, my son's BP was lower, his Diabetes levels were 2 points lower and he had lost a little weight. Also, and I think this has been the deciding factor, his Vit D3 was up to 160 from 26 in only 3 months. 6 months ago his Vit D3 was 44, after 3 months on 1000 ug it went down to 26, so I doubled the dose as per old Endo's advice, but for the past month have trebled this to 3000ug's wih the lovely results above. My husband and I are so thrilled with these results as we couldn't bear the thought of more injections for him. He was on Growth Hormones from the age of 2.5 years to about 28 years. I think Lovely Vitamin D3 is a MIRACLE!

That's great news and you will all be happy with the good results. It is amazing how a vitamin/mineral can make such a difference.

Luckily, all my son's hormonal problems were picked up by Great Ormond Street Hospital from the age of 9 months old. I have just noticed a mistake in my last sentence of my blog. He was treated with HGH from 2.5 years until the age of 7 , then had a gap of a year, by which time they had 'perfected' the synthetic Growth Hormone, which he stopped at age 18 and not '28'.

I'm talking about 34 years ago. In the begining we saw a Professor Tanner an eventually saw about another three in our time there but not Professor Hindmarsh. Eventually, when my son was 19 we were transferred to University College Hospital, London and I wish we had stayed there!
