Had bloodtest last Thurs. Rang everyday for results. Waiting for doctor to ring me bk. Hormone bloodtest came back satisfactorily. So want to know about thyroid results since lower dose. From 125 _100. Crying nearly everyday . Low sad. Panicky, blank brain. Feel like can't relax in fight or flight mode all time . Can't stand feeling like this

Can you ring the surgery and ask them to print the results and you can pick them up? You are legally entitled to your results and they are free. Dont be fobbed off that the GP has not read them yet, just say you will pick them up tomorrow and expect them to be ready as your legal right. Then come back here and we can help futher.

It is so difficult to fight the system when you are feeling so ill, but that is the way they like it! Sending a hug.

Thank you for replying. Unbelievable I rang. They have lost my results. I spoke to doctor. Could not find results. Said I would have to go again!! I'm not sure if been a mix up because I had the hormone bloodtest 2 wks before. But still there should have results for this thyroid one.!! So I'm still up in air about if it is the drop in levothyroxine causing all this or what. So he's changed the brand and dose of antidepressants to see how I get on and then have to re book for bloods. I was so up and down yesterday. Crying in morning and then in afternoon. Couldn't sit still. Felt right adjitated.

Oh that is awful! Because they lost them, you should not have to wait. If your levels of thyroid were spot on, you may not need the antidepressants so they are looking at this backwards. Depression is a common thyroid symptom.

Ring them and ask for an urgent test, or you may have to go to A+E because you are feeling so awful. They hate this as the A+E will tell them off, so you may be bumped up the list for the test. I feel for you - but keep going. Most of us here have been through something similar, and have clawed our way back to health thanks to this forum, not the GP. Good luck!

I know you are going through a lot and no doubt feel you are on a roller coaster but is there a family member or friend who can advocate for you, be with you when you have your GP appointment? I know when I rarely have to go the GP surgery for an appt I always have my husband with me and vice versa. It’s amazing how they treat you with a witness by your side. Just a thought that may help you face any GP nonsense!

Better than nothing and you will get some idea of what is going on. Well done for forcing the issue, I know it is difficult. Yes, they dole out antidepressants at the drop of a hat, but trying to get thyroid meds is like blood from a stone!

You have a whole army here cheering you on!
