Was put on Levothyroxine 50mg about 4years ago. Dose not sufficient and raised (following blood tests) to 75mg. After routine blood tests dose changed to 75mg alternate days. Last blood tests 3 months ago was advised to increase to 75mg every day. Last few weeks am feeling awful. Can’t settle to watch tv and on a high alert in my mood. If alternate days too little and every day at 75 mg too much, any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum Springvale23,
So we can offer better advice, can share blood test results (with ranges in brackets) for:
TSH
FT3
FT4
Plus any antibody and key vitamin tests (ferritin, folate, vitamins D and B12)
In the first instance, do ask your GP for the above tests. We don’t recommend supplementing key vitamins without testing first (and sharing results with us).
If your GP is unable to complete all the above (eg if TSH is within range, some surgeries may not be able to access FT4 and FT3 tests), you could look to do this privately, as many forum members do, for a better picture of your thyroid health:

I have experienced similar symptoms when adjusting medication, so would advise increasing very slowly and perhaps experiment splitting the dose throughout the day. Is the brand of Levo the same?

Get thyroid and vitamin levels tested after 6-8 weeks on constant dose and brand of levothyroxine
Which brand of levothyroxine are you taking Do
Do you always get same brand
What vitamin supplements are you taking
