Thank you in advance for your valuable advice. These are my latest results, my tsh has reduced from 0.68 to 0.15, last test was just tsh, in just a few weeks. I can’t say I feel well , but have recently had covid and a chest infection, I’ve been taking 100/ 75 alternate days since September Was on 100 every day up to May then reduced to 75 from May to September. Do you think my dose needs to be reduced ?

It's not the TSH the most important number, once it gets below 1 it doesn't give you much useful information.

The most important number it the FT3, and yours is quite low, even though your FT4 is high. So, you're not converting very well.

Try reducing your levo a little to bring the FT4 down a bit, and see if that improves conversion. If not, you're going to need some T3 added to your levo to increase your FT3.

Have you had your nutrients tested - vit D, vitB12, folate, ferritin? Sometimes, low nutrients can negatively affect conversion. :)

Thank you for the reply, my other results wereB12 92.1 (37.5 - 150)

D 84.7 (50 -200 )

Folate test failed but I’m taking supplements as it was previously low

Ferritin 208 (13 - 150 ) always high, I’m not taking iron so this is a puzzle

How much should I reduce the dose do you think ?

D 84.7 (50 -200 )

That's a bit low. Should be at least mid-range. But, if you take vit D, you also need to take it's co-factors: magnesium and vit K2-MK7.

Folate test failed but I’m taking supplements as it was previously low

What are you taking for this?

Ferritin 208 (13 - 150 ) always high, I’m not taking iron so this is a puzzle

Was your CRP tested at the same time? High CRP can lead to high ferritin.

How much should I reduce the dose do you think ?

Perhaps try 12.5 mcg to begin with, and see what that does.

I’m taking vit d and k2 spray + magnesium solgar folate 400 The crp was 1.68 (0 - 5 ) so I assume normal

I will try reducing by 12.5 and see if this improves things

Thanks again for your help

OK, so good for the vit D, but are you taking enough?

Is the folate methylfolate or folic acid? Although, just taking one B vit on its own isn't really the right thing to do. You'd probably be better off on a B complex.

The CRP is good, yes. :)

Hi it’s metafolin and I did consider a b complex but was worried about the high ferritin ? I’m taking 3000 iu vitamin c with k2, it’s a spray

I’ve also taken 1g of liposomal vitamin c every other day for the past few months. I have a good diet but due to high hbA1c I have had to loose weight, thankfully it’s now just about normal, type 2 is not a road I want to travel

Ferritin has nothing to do with B vits. If won't raise it further.

But, if you do decide to take a B complex, keep it well away from your vit C. Vit C stops B12 working in the body.

Or did you mean you considered taking a multi-vit? I would strongly advise against that.

No I think multivits are useless, I don’t take the folate with the c. I try to space everything out. I’ll look at the b complex, thanks

Well, one of the best ones is Thorne Basic B. :)

Thanks, yes I used that for my father who had dementia, I’m sure all the supplements helped him to live a relatively good life for 10 years after his diagnosis.
