Hi you amazing people with more knowledge than the medical profession. Can you tell me if my results are showing adequate dosing levels. I have previously asked this question as to how to work it out but I have been asleep since then and have forgotten the formula - my weight is 11st 6 lbs. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks everyone.

T3

• 4.5 pmol/L

• Range:2.4 - 6 pmol/L

T4

17 pmol/L

Range:9 - 23 pmol/L

The above calculators can work out the percentage through the range.

Do you have TSH result too?

What thyroid medication/ dosage are you on?

To me, the main question isn’t how do your results look, it’s how do you feel? Are you experiencing any adverse symptoms?

I do not believe that people on here know more about the condition than the medical professionals, what it is is that on here the people who have this condition are all brought together from anywhere in the world but all of the medical professionals who specialise in this area of medicine are scattered around the world and it is just the luck of the draw that one is near you, most GPS know very little about the subject and they get very little spare time to search for details or to find a specialist who can advise them of where to go to get information on treatments if all of the specialists did get together then you could see that they do know more than we do.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on that.

This forum probably saved my life. I have seen numerous GPs, and quite a few consultants - one even wanted me to put me on 450 levo rather than trial T3. It was through this forum I found out about T3 and got some, and felt better within 2 days. I have since moved to NDT and can now run my business with my brain intact again.

Knowledge is power, the medical profession tend not to have it, or want it. This forum does have the knowledge and freely passes it on. I am so grateful.

Agree they are marvellous - nothing is more valuable than the knowledge that people who have gone through the system have gleaned and got through it and who give back to the forum to help others.
