These are my iron blood test results

Ferritin 72 ug/L

Range: 15 - 300 ug/L

Transferrin saturation %

8.3 %

Range: 20 - 50 %

transferrin

2.4 g/L

Range: 2 - 4 g/L

Iron

5 umol/L

Range: 10 - 30 umol/L

mean cell heamoglobin

28.3 pg

Range: 27 - 33 pg

Heamoglobin

142 g/L

Range: 115 - 165 g/L

I was put on iron tablets but they were awful on my stomach, I have been eating lots of iron rich foods with vitamin c and been to hyperbaric oxygen therapy but my iron and saturation are lower than 6 weeks ago.

But because my hemoglobin is fine they won’t give me an iron infusion. Can you advise if this is correct?

I have so much going on I thought this may be contributing to my extreme fatigue and weakness.

That might be true for some people, but not all of us. I struggled to get my iron levels up while my copper levels were actually over the reference range.
