I posted yesterday about my latest Medichecks and that CRP was high at 3.21, top of range is 3.
However, I mentioned in a previous post, at the time having very strong heartbeat feelings, that my GP had also sent me for blood tests. I did this test the day before I did the home Medichecks. My CRP via GP test came back as 2, top range on this test is 5. That’s a heck of a difference in 24 hours!
Any possible explanation? By this time my pounding heart symptoms were pretty much settled.

Anecdotal, when a family member was sick in the hospital and had daily/weekly CRP taken, it could change quickly.
I’ve never researched it - but he was pretty sick and from memory I recall it dropping from about 80 to 40 and then to normal in those weeks/months.
I cannot rmemeber the specifics - it was very stressful! But I do rmemeber it being so high and coming down steadily. I don’t know about 24 hours but I can see it making sense.
Did you know why it was raised? Recent flu or virus?
Not really but was in a very stressful situation. This resolved before the blood tests and one was fine, the other not, within 24 hours. As Medichecks were unable to test my folate, perhaps it was a glitch on the CRP. 🤷♂️
My guess is that it’s correct and a combination of decreasing inflammation and slight variance in labs. As with all of this there are the “trees” and the “forest” and you need to see both over time to make data-led conclusions.
