Hello, I took the plunge and went for a trial run of t3 only from 2.75 of Ndt. I don't have a thyroid(if it makes a difference) and have been using P. Robinson's Crt3m as well as daily dosing. Hands are cramping, eyes burn, hair is oily, but dry and coarse. I'm dosing according to how I feel, but never feel good. Help??

How much T3 are you taking now?
I take 12.5 @ 4am, 25 @7:30am, 12.5@ 12pm, 12.5@ 4pm and sometimes 10@8pm
Seems like quite a lot.Possibly, you're putting too much demand for oxygen.
Maybe try dropping the 25@7.30.....to just 12.5.
Myself.....I take 12.5@midnight....12.5@7am.........12.5@11am..........12.5@3pm
and sometimes 10@8pm
That is never going to work. To do what it's supposed to do, you need to take the same amount of T3 every day, Otherwise, the body gets confused.
62.5 mcg is an average sort of dose for someone on T3 only, so taking the 10 mcg every day probably wouldn't be too much.
Hi greygoose, I was taking that 10mcg dose to stay up later. This morning I slept through my 4am alarm for the crt3 dose and proceeded with a 25mcg. @7:30. I read some of your other replies in regards to caffeine. I have been drinking coffee with my 7:30am dose. Not today though. I really appreciate this forum in a world of doctors where I feel unsupported. Since I'm still trying to find the right doses at 5weeks, I will keep in mind the average of 62.5. I believe I'm currently hyper and might need to adjust. How important is it to take the crt3 dose? Thanks again for your experience/knowledge
I have zero knowledge of crT3. I take my 75 mcg all at the same time in the morning.
I was taking that 10mcg dose to stay up later.
But it doesn't work like that. No dose you take is used instantly. It hangs around in the blood for a while until it latches on to a receptor.
The coffee will more than likely have blocked some of your T3 from being absorbed in the gut. So I doubt you are over-medicated (you can't be hyper with no thyroid).
When my NDT stopped working I tried just T3 for about 3/4 months and it made me ill.
I have no thyroid either. Some people do well on it hopefully they can help you.
I am now thinking of going back onto Levo and T3 as I haven't felt well since October 12th 2022. I have now developed a high heart rate (Vagus Nerve Related)
I can't trust Thyroid s now. I don't have Hashis or any gut problems like most have on here.
I am trying 87.5 Levo and 25 T3. I was well for years on the NDT but not anymore.
I also tried the book you mention with the T3 but it never worked. The T3 is too fast acting for me the T3 in NDT is Gentle. I am aiming to start a little exercise as I haven't been out for years now.
I had gone from running, Yoga for over 40 years, swimming to a couch potato. I am starting 75 Levo PM tonight and keeping up with the NDT just to start with. Alternate 100 and 75 should be about 87.5 Levo plus the T3. at 25 mcg.
I did try this last year but I took 100 Levo and my FT4 was too high and only took 18.75 T3.
Everyone is different what a nightmare. I hope you can sort it out.
To answer you question yes I have added T3 to NDT but only 6.25 when I started to run low on 3.
Thanks brightness14. Crazy, I stopped Synthroid after 30yrs and in 2020 tried Ndt here in the States and initially felt really good. Then they recalled the one I was on, then with NP I broke out in hives, then I compounded. Constant hair fall out/breakage and stayed hypo. Last year in September a new endo convinced me to try Synthroid again with added t3. I couldn't function on it anymore, suicidal, decreased lung function, two frozen shoulders and low back pain....which all went away when I stopped. I also noticed that I could walk my dog before taking it and then after, I would struggle to get air into my lungs. I truly hope I can get this t3 only regimen to suffice. I also wish you well on your journey to good health
