Thyroid removal and pathology results

Hi

I had my thyroid removed 4 weeks ago.

I have now received my pathology results, and seen my consultant. They found an incidental unifocal papillary carcinoma (2.4mm) (following total thyroid removal). I have been told that it is unlikely there is anything further to be done, but have to wait 2-3 weeks for a multi consultant meeting.

I am obviously apprehensive; has anyone have any advice or been told no further action for now?

Many thanks in advance.

Christina

Sorry you've not received any timely replies, hopefully someone knowledgeable will be able to help soon

They always have a good look after removal but things generally stay contained within the thyroid so once it's gone it's gone 🤞
