Yes having one autoimmune disease makes others more likely

Hashimoto’s (autoimmune thyroid disease) and psoriasis often linked

pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articl....

What are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results

How much levothyroxine are you taking

How long on this dose Which brand

Which brand of levothyroxine

What vitamin supplements are you taking

Please add results and ranges

If not already on gluten free diet request GP do coeliac blood test, before trialing strictly gluten free diet

My skin clears when I remove wheat from my diet. Flares up when I cheat.

Do you eat fish or supplement with omega 3 fish oils? My fostered son had psoriasis and it cleared up when he went to work in a Sushi restaurant and ate much more fish as he was able to have his meals from work. Just a thought, perhaps more research needed.

Hi, I also found that Omega 3 helped control my psoriasis. I took Mega Oil (a combination of Omega 3/6/9) in my breakfast each morning. This was made specifically for those with eczema or psoriasis and is made in Australia but a similar product is Udo's Oil.I should add, it's designed to be digested - not put on the skin.

I found that supplementing methylcobalamin (one form of vitamin B12 which can be bought as a supplement without prescription) and methylfolate (and avoiding folic acid completely) had a very beneficial impact on my skin health. I didn't have psoriasis, I had eczema for decades, and it went away. I also had spots on my face intermittently for over 40 years, and they disappeared completely too.
