goitre found

hi all i posted a few weeks ago re tsh being 0.8 and having symptoms had some really good support and advice went to my endocrinology appt today had lots of blood tests for thyroid and parathyroid but now have to wait for results however I was informed I have a goitre does having a goitre mean thyroid problems as still have symptoms that haven’t eased any advice much appreciated

goitre means swollen thyroid.

Sometimes you can develop a goitre (or have a nodule on thyroid for example) which doesn’t affect function. Or at least not to the level of criteria in which treatment is offered.

Drs always look at physical issues with throat as separate to what thyroid function is doing, Which isn’t always helpful when you feel something is going on & separate departments say your clear.

Thank you for your reply I’m hoping my blood work has the answers when I get my results in the coming weeks and agree isn’t always helpful when feeling rubbish and awaiting results
