Klaire Labs Adrenal Cortex

Has anyone taken these by Klaire Labs or know anything about them?I have hypothyroidism and CFS & am looking for an adrenal cortex for low morning cortisol.

I have been warned off Metavive because of the ribonucleotides which I understand are not great for autoimmune conditions.

Would also appreciate recommendations for where to get the best adrenal saliva test.

Thank you

Yes, I have used these but they are adrenal cortex whereas Metavive is a thyroid glandular?

Last couple of tests I've done with cnslab.co.uk/hpa-axis-and-s... TUK10 saves 10%

TM, Metavive is, as you say, a thyroid glandular. But Adrenavive adrenal complex is made by the same company I think.

You're right... I had to go and look to see if they had added the nucleotides to both, which they have 🙃

Oh yes! I meant to write Adrenavive not Metavive (brain fog)

Questions as above.

DubStar It is not unknown for adrenal insufficiency to be misdiagnosed as CFS. Have read posts elsewhere by a number of people to whom this happened.

If you think you have low cortisol, get an early morning (8-9am) cortisol blood test done. Your GP should arrange this if you have symptoms.

I would strongly advise getting advice about adrenals from a specialist group, rather than in this thyroid group. I would also strongly advise avoiding any over-the-counter adrenal products, whether described as cortex, glandular etc. if you search recent posts you will find posts by a couple of people in the last few weeks who have had predictable issues when taking/stopping them. Cortisol levels are not something to mess around with.

For adrenal groups, there is a very active UK-based Facebook group which you will find a link to if you search my previous comments, there is a paid group on the ADSHG website, and the Pituitary Foundation can offer good advice too
