Adrenal Cortex recommendation

10 Replies

I’ve been taking Adrenal Cortex Tissues (Bovine) 100mg brand Allergy Research Group. It has ran out and is out of stock. It is a practitioner recommended only product. I’ve asked my practitioner but she hasn’t replied-possibly away.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an alternative cortex of equal quality please?

Thank you 😊

Adrenavive from The Natural Choice.I have used their products and they are good quality, probably one of the best. I am not sure if you need a referral as I had to quote Dr Peatfield when I first used them.

Oh yes thanks, I used that years ago. Can you remind me of the difference between 1&2 please?

1 = whole adrenal gland

2 = adrenal cortex only 150mg

3 = adrenal cortex only 300mg

All the best.

Thank you. When would you use the whole adrenal gland as opposed to the adrenal cortex please?

The cortex only contains cortisol but the whole gland contains adrenaline and cortisol. When I had my consultation with Dr Peatfield for hypothyroidism he prescribed cortex only as extra adrenaline is not recommended for that.

Thank you. That’s what I thought. In what circumstances out of interest would someone need the adrenaline too? I’ve got hypothyroidism and low cortisol.

I don't really know that but I think that adrenaline makes the whole system work harder so that could be very detrimental if your body was at a low ebb. I don't really know enough about it to give any firm advice though.

Adrenavive ll or lll, recommended by Dr Peatfield, work very well for me. I’ve used them for 6 years. Both cortex only
