Suggest you could start by looking at the Medsafe website:
What is Medsafe?
Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority. It is a business unit of the Ministry of Health and is the authority responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand.
Thanks, Helvella. I'll check it out. I've just been reading on TANZI's site too. Seems like it's still impossible to obtain. Damn. Won't consider emigrating to NZ 😭.
Sorry, I don't know any NZ patients myself. But if you're on Facebook, there's a good group you could join "Thyroid Association of NZ (TANZI)" It may be of some help?
hi. I live in nz and have a script for t3. The script is from a functional dr. It is rare a gp will prescribe t3, not impossible, but rare. T3 is not recognised here so as you can imagine it is not funded either. There are drs in nz prescribing though and using the thyroid page in nz if you ask you would be given names of functional drs
