Hi, so it started off my heart rate was very elevated and I could feel it pounding in my chest I felt so poorly weeks down the line I decide to go the a &e ( blood work done said all fine chest x-ray done all done ECG said absolutely fine despite heart rate being in late 90s which is clearly effecting my body but they wasn't concerned and sent me packing with go home rest workout if you can and try to forget about feeling your heart pounding constantly)

After another few weeks I now feel pounding and my chest feels heavy pressure to breathe I decided to use my health insurance and go see a cardiologist he said I have infrequent missed beats after putting me on a heart monitor and proceeded with an ultrasound of the heart which was all fine thankfully.

Given beta blocker blistopal and said he'll see me in a month

Since then I have realised yes my heart rate was elevated, but now I feel that my right side of chest is always fluttering , vibration sensation and like I have a mobile phone inside like a tremor the pulsating when it really goes for it really is like a heart pounding , but it's not has it's all the right side of body , even down into pelvis it's awful it's like I'm shaking but I'm not when I look in these areas 😢 feels so so bad all the time it never stops

Can someone please help me to what they think this is , or what tests I should maybe get some what consultants etc.. this symptom is making me feel low 😢

I was told my TSH level 1.63 when I asked and they said it was absolutely fine

And all I was told about my other blood work was it fine iron u & e's full blood count.

Heart muscle blood test I'm not sure what it was called

Kidney , liver etc..

Thanks for reading

What was your ferritin results? Sometimes if you have a fast heart rate it can be because of low iron or ferritin. A lot of doctors tell you your results are “fine” but your levels are low in the range People can have low ferritin without knowing I have in the past but now mine is actually quite high.

welcome to the forum

Could be low iron/ferritin

Request GP do full iron panel test for anaemia including ferritin

Or test privately

Test early morning, only water to drink between waking and test. Avoid high iron rich dinner night before test

If taking any iron supplements stop 5-7 days before testing

Medichecks iron panel test

Are you vegetarian or vegan

Pre or post menopause

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested

Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once for autoimmune thyroid disease

Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Lower vitamin levels more common as we get older

Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease

About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high TPO and/or high TG thyroid antibodies

Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s

Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.

Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.

Significant minority of Hashimoto’s patients only have high TG antibodies (thyroglobulin)

NHS only tests TG antibodies if TPO are high

20% of autoimmune thyroid patients never have high thyroid antibodies and ultrasound scan of thyroid can get diagnosis

In U.K. medics hardly ever refer to autoimmune thyroid disease as Hashimoto’s (or Ord’s thyroiditis)

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Post all about what time of day to test

Medichecks Thyroid plus BOTH TPO and TG antibodies and vitamins

Medichecks and BH also offer private blood draw at clinic near you, or private nurse to your own home…..for an extra fee

Only do private testing early Monday or Tuesday morning.

You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.

The best way to get access to current and historic blood test results is to register for online access to your medical record and blood test results via NHS app

UK GP practices are supposed to offer everyone online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need "enhanced access" to see blood results.

Receptionist just has to tick a box on computer to allow you access. You may need to show photo ID

This currently only applies in England, not across the whole of the UK. Nether Scotland nor N.Ireland have released an NHS app for patients. (Scotland supposedly due in December '24.) Wales has an app, but only for booking appointments, repeat prescriptions and amending personal details

In reality some GP surgeries still do not have blood test results online yet

Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up.

come back with new post once you get actual results
