Difficult to take seriously because they only talk about the TSH, and say things like:

- Normal levels are typically 0.4 to 4.0 milliunits per liter (mU/L).

- According to the British Thyroid Foundation, an underactive thyroid is not a risk factor for osteoporosis.

- 'Data indicates that a significant proportion of thyroid hormone prescriptions may be given to older adults without hypothyroidism.

All in all, a waste of research time and money. If they're going to do it, why can't the do it properly and get their facts right?!

You could have stopped after saying it was the Daily Mail 🤣

My bones are absolutely fine by the way. I discovered this after throwing myself on the floor in a shop and landing on my hip. 🤭 Nothing damaged except my ego ☺️

Usual scaremongering from our wonderful tabloid cess pit, the Faily Mail.

...or the Daily Fail. You would think that this shower would pay a bit more attendtion, subsequent to losing their high court battle with Dr Kendrick dailymail.co.uk/home/articl... I smell more 'pernicious lies'.

Nevermind, said 'news'paper will shortly have the usual slew of, 'Here's how I spend £100,000 on Christmas' with the ubiquitous airheads who 'married well' showcasing their venal profligacy. Give me strength.

The DM always manages to shoehorn how much someone's house is worth. As though that is relevant.

And it will end up being quoted in NICE Guideline as part of its evidence to lower levothyroxibe treatment for the over 70s! I believe there's a pot running removing patients off low doses of levo all together to see how they go! Mad mad world we live in!!!
