I recently had some bloods done after further reducing my thyroxine, previously I had reduced my thyroxine to 5 days at 100mcg & 2 days at 75mcg - T3 10mcg the results were as below
TSH 0.05
T4 -21. (81.82%)
T3 - 6 ( 78.38%)
I then reduced a further 2 days at 75mcg with T3 the same 10mcg ( so 3 days at 100mcg & 4 days 75mcg ) and have just had these results after 12 weeks see above , both tests done as per protocol Im shocked that my T3 has dropped from 78% to 55% and T4 has hardly moved .
I have telephone appointment with my consultant on 26th and not sure where to go with this as my T3 has dropped so much , can any of you lovely people please advice, Im feeling ok ish colder and not as much energy, but really wanted to get both levels to about 70% 😊

Thank you SlowDragon yes always same brand Mercury Pharma , vitamin D just tested and is 89.4 but it doesn’t give the range ( I am supplementing with D3 with K2) not had my folate B12 and ferritin tested for a while but I’m seeing my GP on Monday so will ask him , or maybe do medichecks anyway.
Do you think I need to further reduce my thyroxine? I obviously don’t want to change both so maybe suggest upping my t3 and then retest and maybe reduce my thyroxine to 75mcg a day then see if that balances out or go back to my previous 2 days at 75mcg and 5 at 100mcg and stay at 10mcg T3?
I only reduced thyroxine as both levels where a little bit high , I felt well on that dose but lots of aches and pains so thought it was worth a try, but now I’m tired , cold and definitely not feeling great- it’s so hard all this adjusting 😞
Do you think it’s better getting a bit of T3 from the thyroxine I take and adding T3 ( I clearly from my results do convert as when I reduce thyroxine my T 3 plummets ) or just keeping thyroxine low and take a higher dose of T3 ?
Many of us seem to need BOTH Ft4 and Ft3 at least 60-70% through range
Taking almost any dose of T3 will significantly reduce or suppress TSH …..in effect completely turning off your own thyroid output
A few people seem do better on higher Ft3 and lower Ft4 …..but it seems to be the minority ….land it doesn’t necessarily remain a constant need …..can change over time
Only about 10% of those who start T3 and Levo together…seem to do best/end up on T3 only
Personally I tried increasing T3 and reducing Levo …..it definitely didn’t suit me
Yes I was trying to just bring my levels down slightly to 70% but it didn’t work and now T3 just too low for me , they were definitely more balanced on my previous dose, I really don’t want to be taking too much T3 if I can covert some from the thyroxine, but not sure which is best ? 🤷🏼♀️
