I’ve just had my bloods done and my results are the same as last year except my T3 has come down from 6.2 to 6.0
I take 100mcg 5 days & 75mcg 2 days a week along with 10mcg Thybon all in one dose.My question is should I reduce Thyroxine to try to bring it down a bit more as I’ve read there are risks with having a high T4 when taking T3, maybe another day at 75mcg. I’ve not spoken to my Endo yet so not sure whether to suggest it or just try without telling him.
I feel ok but lots of aches and joint pain.
Thank you in advance☺️

Blood test done as protocol done at 9am , taking B complex and vitamin with K2 , and magnesium citrate just waiting for medichecks thyroid Thursday then will get advanced bloods done .
My T4 went down to 17 (same range ) last time my endo reduced to 75mcg a day and I felt terrible so might just try an extra day and retest in 8 weeks with medichecks.

I've never heard that before. What sort of riskes? The only risk I can see is that too much of your T4 could be converted to T3 and send your FT3 over-range. But even that's not much of a risk. And your FT3 is not over-range. So, I don't think it has anything to do with taking T3.
On the other hand, long-term high levels of FT4 do put you at risk for other health problems. See jimh111 's posts for more details about that.
So, you could try reducing your levo slightly, see what happens. But, when reducing doses, I always recommend doing it by yourself and not involving a doctor, in case you need to put it back up again. Doctors love reducing doses but are not to keen on putting them back up!
Thank you GG yes it was the posts by Jimh111 that I was reading about high levels of T4 , Im going to just reduce another day and retest with medichecks in 8 weeks as I need to test my vitamins aswell, so will just play the game with my endo for now and keep this to myself🤐😊
