Hi all, after a recurrence of symptoms I got bloods done privately again. Results above. Guessing my Endocrinologist will increase my Levo again from 100 to 125? Although not sure if that will be enough? Think based on the results I will increase my Vit D again and B complex as well. Am I missing anything?
currently on Levo 100mcg and Liothronine 10mcg.

Hi. Your CRP and your TPO antibodies are high. Your Hashimoto's is certainly kicking off. However, more or less Thyroxine has no bearing on these . This is your immune system and not your thyroid that's giving you trouble.
Have you recently had a virus?
How's your diet?
Are you still eating Gluten?
If I were you I would do everything I could to support my immunity at this point.
Give up Gluten and Dairy, go on a low GI diet
And go to Holland and Barrett or Biovea or any other reputable supplement retailer and ask for everything they've got for immunity.
Selenium, green tea, IGg 2000 etc.
The Hashimoto's affects your thyroid but your thyroid tests are unremarkable.
You need to calm that auto-immune response down.
If you've just had a nasty virus it might calm down by itself. But you need to give it a hand.
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test
Is this how you did your test
What vitamin supplements are you taking
Did you stop any supplements that contain biotin 5-7 days before test?
as you have Hashimoto’s are you on strictly gluten free diet and/or dairy free diet
Eating iron rich foods like liver or liver pate once a week plus other red meat, pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate, plus daily orange juice or other vitamin C rich drink can help improve iron absorption
This is interesting because I have noticed that many patients with Hashimoto’s disease and hypothyroidism, start to feel worse when their ferritin drops below 80 and usually there is hair loss when it drops below 50.
Igennus B complex popular option. Nice small tablets. Most people only find they need one per day. But a few people find it’s not high enough dose and may need separate methyl folate couple times a week
Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule) Thorne can be difficult to find at reasonable price, should be around £20-£25. iherb.com often have in stock. Or try ebay
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 5-7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg)
Post discussing how biotin can affect test results
