Just received my latest blood results and back again to you fine people for your advice and help
Was off Levo altogether and on 50mcg Tiromel for about five days.I think it was far too much and I went to quick. So drew a line and went 50mcg levo/12.5 Tiromel
That’s six weeks now on 50mcg Levo and 12.5 Tiromel
Still got lots of aches and pains and fatigue. On a positive note to be honest since the addition of T3 my mental health has picked up a lot.And on an even better positive outlook, these results look as if there’s lots of improvement still to be had!?
I had bloods drawn last Thursday to check for inflammation and other checks.Don’t recall what as I wasn’t paying attention after refusing a thyroid function test. What’s the point taking one if there not testing for T3? You have all been there too! Will post them when I finally get through to reception and ask for a copy
So here my results and once again I am very grateful to you all!
Thank you!
Will

Last Levo and T3 was 6am Sunday morning which was 50mcg Levo 12.5mcg Tiromel (half tablet) Haven’t been splitting doses since I reduced from 50mcg Tiromel
I was on 100/112.5mcg alternative days
I was given a link on how to calculate your T3/T4 absorption rate a while ago and can’t it now
Would you kindly give me the link or tell me what my absorption rate is now please?
Still not sure whether to up my dose of levo incase I have issue’s with it again or just add T3 to combat it in split doses
So Ft3 would be higher if had only left 12 hours as recommended
Even if you don’t normally split T3 into smaller doses, it’s recommended to do so day before test
You might want to increase T3 rather than levothyroxine at this stage, because your cortisol is so high
cortisol is high as trying to compensate for sudden lack of levothyroxine
Normally we recommend if adding T3 to do so slowly adding just 6.25mcg initially, wait week or two then add 2nd dose T3 and only reduce levothyroxine maximum of 25mcg …..hold at that and retest after 6-8 weeks
Och SlowDragon,I kind of thought why change dosing times if I’m trying to take T3 in one dose. No,it’s probably not the ideal way to do it but another learning curve
I was thinking of increasing the T3 due to the high cortisol and TSH levels as T3 helps reduce both
I actually felt better when on 50mcg Levo and 3/4 Tiromel for about a week then it all went wonky and starting taking more T3
Maybe I just had to experience that as now I’m re-tracing a previous stepping stone on a more sure footed approach. This time with a 1/4 dose T3 rise intervals at longer intervals
Fandabbydosie! Glad things are going in the right direction for you. Big improvement in your results.Aye, your right there is room for improvement and increasing doses but take your time.
