I wrote to mine yesterday within about ten minutes of reading this.

The intent seems good. It is the ignorance which is the real problem. The believing that fluoridated water is without any other impacts whatsoever. I pointed out the interaction of fluorine and iodine which has not been fully researched and is a very complex issue and directly affects thyroid health.

However, PLEASE try to limit the discussion to thyroid-related issues - given this is a thyroid forum!

Besides being one of the most nasty neurotoxins, fluoride is detrimental for thyroid (a lot of material to be found for anybody who cares to do some search). For example, here is a link to a good simple review by Izabella Wenz about how fluoride is damaging thyroid and not only thyroid:
