Very difficult to read. Try adding the image to a REPLY to this post. Images on replies can be expanded to make them more readable.

From what I think I can read, your FT4 is below range but your TSH is not raised. Suggests your pituitary is not responding to the low FT4.

Thank you for your patience I shall try again

my concern are below the cholesterol is slightly elevated but if the rest isn’t right I am only taking mcg of Levo and 12.5 of T3

Test done without medication

My ferritin is very low in the range which is vast but it is said to be normal?

No action required ? ferritin-155

(RMW23) - Just out of range ( 13.00/ 150.00ug/L

! Thyroid function test - (RMW23) - Repeat

Borderline TFTs. Repeat in 12 months (sooner if symptomatic) ??

Plasma TSH level

! Serum free T4 level10.3 range 12-22?

You haven't told us how much Levo you're taking.

Do you have a result for FT3, High cholesterol is usually due to low FT3. But the cholesterol itself is not a problem. It's a symptom, not a disease and won't do you any harm. But low T3 is a problem. Do you have a result for that?

Thanks for this information. I take 75mcg of Levo along with the 12.5 of T3 self sourced.

FT3 hasn’t been tested it was requested on the blood form but the lab hasn’t tested it

No, they rarely do. But if you're taking it it should be tested. Can you do a private test?

You probably need an increase in levo, too. 75 mcg is not much more than a starter dose, and taking T3 will lower the level.

Thank you I shall do a medi checks full blood. Going forward for my meeting review on Monday can I ask for an increase in Levo or what can I do about the low B12 ferritin. And folate ?

greygoose in reply to Harthill42

Yes, ask for an increase in levo - I don't see how he can refuse given the level.

For the B12 he should be testing for Pernicious Anemia.

For the ferritin he should be doing a full iron panel.

When you have results for those tests it will become clearer what should be done. :)

Your folate and B12 are both horribly low, how are you feeling? I'd feel dreadful with such low fT4

Ferritin at 155 is good

Thank you for your reply.

I am always a hundred miles an hour then I hit a brick wall it’s probably this that I’m feeling

The results says normal no action on Folate Ferratin and B12 but very very low in the large range for folate

Serum vitamin B12

278ng/range ….. 197.00 - 771.00ng/L

Serum folate 7

Range 3.90 - 26.80ug/L

No vitamin D test result?

Low B12 and low folate

Many, many people on thyroid replacement need to supplement vitamin B complex daily and continuously to maintain good folate

You will initially need separate B12 first

With serum B12 result below 500, (Or active B12 below 70) recommended to be taking a separate B12 supplement

A week later add a separate vitamin B Complex

Then once your serum B12 is over 500 (or Active B12 level has reached 70), you may be able to reduce then stop the B12 and just carry on with the B Complex.

If Vegetarian or vegan likely to need ongoing separate B12 few times a week

Low folate

supplementing a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid)

This can help keep all B vitamins in balance and will help improve B12 levels too

Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule) Thorne can be difficult to find at reasonable price, should be around £20-£25. iherb.com often have in stock. Or try ebay

IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 5-7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg) and continue separate B12
