Thyroid test results
How do you feel?
What time of day was this test and when did you take your last dose of Levo before the test?
What supplements are you taking?
What are your latest vitamin results?
I feel awful, bad anxiety, can't eat, in fact I,ve lost 1/2 stone and not sleeping.I took my thyroxine 24 hours before the test at 7.30 in the morning.I currently take 3000 vit D and 50b12.Ivreally should get my vitamins tested again.Wheres the best place to get vitamins tested?
You're only slightly over replaced and it might be that low vitamin levels are playing into how you feel as well.
You're not taking any folate then and a low dose of B12 which may not be enough for you.
If you only have 100mcg tablets then you could drop by 1 tablet a week.
Any of the testing compnies work for testing vitamins. Wait until 6-8 weeks after you've done this dose adjustment then get them tested at the same time as thyroid levels.
There's Randox, Medichecks, Monitor my Health, Blue Horizon. On the Thyroid UK website they have discount codes for some of the companies.

Thank you Jaydee1507. I was put on Antidepressants 2 weeks ago should I stop taking them? My husband and daughter are convinced I have depression. I felt pressurised into taking them.I,ve tried to explain it could be my levels fluctuating.
Its your choice if you take antidepressants or not. Noone should put pressure on you, especially if they dont understand your thyroid condition and fluctuating levels.
Will the Anti D,s have any affect on the thyroid medication,do you know?
How long have you been on 100 mcg? Do you have any other blood test results on that same dose?
You have Hashi's, so it could be that your high FT4 has nothing to do with your dose and everything to do with the disease. So, if you feel over-medicated, drop your levo for a while and see how you feel. But do it on your own, don't involve your doctor. Because once a doctor reduces a dose he doesn't want to put it up again! And it could be that this high level is only temporary and will go down again by itself. In which case you're going to need your full dose again.
Thanks Greygoose,I was told that if you haven't got a thyroid you can't Hashi,s. So I,ve still got my 100mg tablets so do I leave off a couple of tablets.
Ahhhhhh I didn't realise you didn't have a thyroid. Well, you can have it, the antibodies are there, but it wouldn't normally affect you. Did you have a TT or RAI? Could be there's some thyroid tissue still there, though.
suggest you try reducing levothyroxine to 50mcg JUST ONE day per week……get weekly pill dispenser
Cut 100mcg in half and save half for the next week
Thank you slowdragon.Do I need to take the 50mg on the same day each week?
