Hi all, I hope you are well 😊

I'm looking to get an all rounder vitamin to help with Hashimotos.

What do you guys find works well in general?

I was looking at one called Inessa multivitamin at 29.99 for 60.

Any advice/recommendations would be great 👍

Much love

you need to get vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin levels tested FIRST before considering any supplements

Only supplement what’s necessary.

Multivitamins never recommended on here. At best they are a waste of money, but can actually make things worse as most contain iodine and iron

Iodine can make Hashimoto’s worse

Iron shouldn’t be taken unless you need it

Okay, thank you. I'm due to have my bloods in 6 weeks.

Request GP include testing of vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin

Yes, I believe I'm being tested for everything. T3 as I've never had that either, but I will make sure when I go x

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

very unlikely to get Ft3 tested on NHS …..but miracles may happen

Thank you, I'm not on levo as my bloods show TSH on normal range but I'm symptomatic hypo.I asked specifically for T3 so I hope they do... another I will double check before they take my blood.

why don't the NHS test for T3? Stupid if it's so important 🙄
