Today I spoke to an RFA consultant. He told me that Thyroid Artery Goiter Embolization (TAE) is a new procedure he hopes will be available on the NHS within the next couple of years. Apparently TAE can be used to treat more complex and larger goitres and help further reduce the need for thyroidectomies.
Anyone know more about this?
